Waikiki Housekeeping was born from a deeply personal and spiritual journey, one that began long before its founding. Noelle Rosenzweig envisioned a business dedicated to bringing light and cleanliness into homes. It started from the sunlit Mauka in Maui during 2015  where Noelle first took up cleaning Airbnb’s for an elderly woman in Haiku.  At the time she was preparing her new life as a mother, but little did she know that this humble beginning would evolve into a calling rooted in faith, minimalism, and a passion for sacred space.

Her path to this purpose was shaped by her time with SUKYO MAHIKARI, a Japanese Dojo she joined  in 2012. Meaning “bringers of light” Sukyo Mahikari taught her that light isn’t just a spiritual presence but a physically one– It’s a state of being. A core tenant of the practice was transforming spaces into sanctuaries of clarity and peace. Cleanliness, she learned, was more than a chore; it was a spiritual act. The dojo emphasized that filth and clutter were signs of darkness, dimming the spirit and light of a home and those within it. As Noelle immersed herself into this philosophy, she noticed a profound shift in her life over the years: Living in a decluttered, minimal, space lifted her soul and brought her closer to serenity. This revelation sparked a life long commitment to minimalism, less consumerism, and the art of creating clean and sacred environments.
